This Position reports to: Quality Manager
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections in assigned areas
- Use precision measuring instruments as required
- Perform dimensional inspections using hand instrumentation, as required
- Perform inspection on manufactured and/or purchased parts, writing reports as required
- Formulate relevant reports of the inspections for Supplier Quality Performance
- Resolve issues resulting from non-conforming inspections
- Determine salvageability of defective items, as assigned
- Responsible for ongoing analysis and follow up of rejected components, including recommendations for corrective action
- Assist in corrective action resolution
- Must understand and perform all job requirements in compliance with ISO 9001
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of experience in Quality Control or Manufacturing
- Strong communication, computer, and analytical skills; able to collaborate across teams
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, performing repetitive tasks, and standing for 8-hour shifts
- Comfortable working with heavy equipment and navigating non-climate controlled environments
- Must have valid work authorization to work for ABB in the United States
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Pay Rate: Starting between $23-$25/hour (determined by qualifications and experience)
- Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
