Position Overview

Reports to: Pricing Excellence Manager

Division: ABB Motion Service Division

The Service Division serves customers worldwide by maximizing uptime, extending product life cycle and enhancing the performance and energy efficiency of their electrical motion solutions. The Division is leading the way in digitalization by securely connecting motors and drives, increasing operational uptime and improving efficiency. The services offered make the difference for our customers and partners every day by helping keep their operations running profitably, safely and reliably.

As a Global Pricing Expert, you will design and maintain pricing dashboards to deliver actionable insights, analyze sales and market data to identify opportunities and risks, and lead global pricing transformation initiatives. You'll collaborate with country teams to implement pricing plans, foster best practices, and embed pricing strategies into the business. Acting as a trusted partner and change agent, you will drive adoption, provide training, and contribute to cross-functional projects to enhance pricing effectiveness.

Location

This role is open globally, but location is set in ABB office in Central Europe with a preference for Poland (Warszawa), Romania (Bucharest) or Italy (Sesto San Giovanni). The work model is hybrid #.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, standardize, and maintain pricing dashboards to provide actionable insights and support business decision-making at global and local levels, ensuring effective deployment and adoption by country teams.
  • Analyze sales, pricing data, market trends, and competition to identify pricing opportunities and risks, monitor pricing targets, and collaborate with countries to propose actionable recommendations for improvements.
  • Contribute to the design and refinement of the global pricing transformation program, with a strong focus on building pricing capabilities and improving business performance.
  • Lead the deployment of pricing initiatives by establishing strong collaboration at both regional and local levels.
  • Partner with country pricing leads to support the creation and execution of pricing plans, monitor progress and report outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted partner to local teams, supporting them throughout their pricing transformation journey.
  • Lead the development and expansion of a collaborative forum for sharing pricing best practices, fostering cross-business collaboration and strengthening knowledge exchange.
  • Act as a change agent by embedding pricing strategies and techniques into the business DNA.
  • Collaborate with country pricing leads to ensure alignment, foster buy-in, and drive adoption.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to empower local teams to implement and sustain pricing improvements.
  • Actively contribute to cross-functional initiatives by challenging the status quo and identifying innovative ways to improve pricing effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Economics, Data Analytics or similar
  • Certified Pricing Professional Certification is a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pricing role, with exposure to pricing change management, development and deployment of pricing reports
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing complex datasets, developing actionable insights, and leveraging reporting tools (min. knowledge of Power BI, Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of pricing processes, governance models and pricing concepts
  • Hands-on experience leading pricing transformation projects at a regional level or higher (project management certification is a plus)
  • Ability to influence without authority across all organizational levels, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and a talent for inspiring teams and delivering results in matrixed environments
  • Highly organized with a focus on speed, accuracy, and continuous process improvement
  • Availability to travel (up to 20% of the time)
