This Position reports to: Business controller

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a strategic role in analyzing, planning, and managing the company's financial performance. This position provides in-depth analyses, prepares detailed reports, and supports strategic decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, professional rigor, and excellent communication abilities. This position contributes to ABB Canada's Electrification division and is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The work model is primarily on-site, with 4 to 5 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial results and management reports
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets
  • Prepare financial forecasts and profitability analyses
  • Identify and assess financial risks
  • Standard cost management: establish, analyze, and adjust standard costs
  • Cost calculation process optimization: collaborate with production and accounting teams to improve cost accuracy
  • Provide strategic recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards
  • Develop financial models and perform benchmarking analyses
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Present financial results to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and participate in cross-functional projects

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Significant experience in financial analysis (5+ years)
  • Proficiency with office tools and financial software (Excel)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Fluency in French and English
  • English is required to communicate with clients outside of Quebec
