About ABB

At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. Here, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world. As a global market leader, we'll give you what you need to make it happen. It won't always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you'll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. Soft Bank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you'll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics—working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

Role Overview

Reports to: Business Chief Financial Officer

Work model: Hybrid

Location: Bangalore

In this role, you will be accountable for end-to-end performance of outsourced finance processes (P2P) delivered by a third-party service provider. The role ensures service stability, SLA adherence, continuous improvement, and value delivery, while acting as the single accountable owner of the process from a business perspective. This is not an operational role and not a shadow processing team. The role exists to control, challenge, and improve the service provider. It is a key link between the BPO (process execution) and the ABB Robotics' Global Process Owner (process design).

In the initial separation phase, the main focus of the role will be taking part in the BPO set-up and transition, as well as the SAP ERP design and implementation.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Own end-to-end service performance, including SLA/KPI management, monitoring trends, ensuring process integrity across systems/data/controls, and meeting all contractual commitments
  • Lead performance governance, including monthly/quarterly reviews, escalation of issues, and driving timely resolution in partnership with the provider
  • Act as the primary interface between Business, IT, the Provider, and GPO—ensuring alignment, process expertise, and seamless handoffs
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformation activities, including SAP implementation support, process optimizations, and managing transitions or scope changes
  • Oversee issue management and risk control, ensuring controls are embedded, owning major incidents/data issues, leading root-cause analysis, and coordinating with Audit, Controls, and Compliance
  • Engage and manage stakeholders effectively, acting as a trusted partner to Finance and Business teams with transparent, fact-based communication

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Finance Operations with deep hands-on exposure to P2P, O2C, or R2R processes in a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Proven experience working in GBS, BPO, or shared services operating models
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and related finance applications
  • Demonstrated experience in service transitions, migrations, carve-outs, go-lives, and stabilization phases
  • Solid understanding of SLA/KPI design, performance monitoring, productivity, quality, timeliness, and control frameworks
  • Proven ability to challenge service providers, lead structured service reviews, drive corrective actions, and prevent recurring issues
  • Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement, process standardization, simplification, and identifying automation opportunities with providers
  • Ability to influence and deliver results through cross-functional teams without direct line authority
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-control orientation
  • Structured, clear, and fact-based communication skills, with comfort engaging senior stakeholders
