About the Role
Are you a strategic finance leader ready to shape the future of global business? Motion Drive Products Division is looking for a Business Line Controller to lead the financial performance of our Business Line, United States. In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a trusted business advisor to the Business Line Manager and management team to optimize the financial performance of the Business Line. You will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve performance.
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Work model: On Site in New Berlin, WI
Main stakeholders: Management and key functions of the Business Line
Responsibilities
- Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leaders in determining strategy for area of responsibility
- Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets
- Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility
- Evaluating financial implications of various strategic decisions, building scenarios, and recommending actions
- Monitoring business performance and providing insight and analysis to support operational decision-making proactively
- Identifying issues and advising management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve
- Establishing and driving processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information
- Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines
- Managing the team of common finance resources of the United States Motion Drive Product site

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, with Finance management/Accounting or related qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in senior finance, controlling, or FP&A roles within large/global organizations
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of product costing
- Knowledge of SAP and Power BI
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
