About the Role
- This position reports to the Global Motion Support Manager
- LEAP.
In this role, you will provide second-line technical support for our life expectancy analysis program (LEAP), focusing on hardware/software related issues and test data quality. ABB Ability™ LEAP is ABB's advanced condition monitoring program that helps customers maximize reliability of high voltage machines. You will work closely with internal and external customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions that drive customer satisfaction. Along the way, you will gain expertise in LEAP test equipment and data quality.
Work Model: Hybrid
Business Line: Motors and generators business line in Motion Service division in AMEA region
Main Stakeholders: Global LEAP product management, center of expertise, LEAP analysis team and local service units
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Providing technical advice and troubleshooting support for LEAP test procedures to field service engineers globally within ABB Motion Services
- Analyzing information from our databases, identifying patterns and trends, and know-how accumulation by writing FAQs for common issues
- Displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility and communicating effectively with stakeholders
- Recognizing and analyzing technical problems, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver solutions
Qualifications
- Degree in relevant engineering, preferably electrical engineering
- 3-5 years of work experience in high voltage diagnostic testing and independent handling of high voltage testing equipment
- Knowledge of the construction of high voltage machines (desirable)
- Knowledge of insulation systems used in high voltage machines (desirable)
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to work in a global team environment
