The person hired for the position of Maintenance Mechanic will work at our Monroe, NC location

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by completing the following:

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components.

• Follow the maintenance work management process, which includes utilizing the maintenance management software to identify equipment problems, obtain parts, document findings, track personal labor hours and material on jobs, capture repair history, etc.

• Contribute to Manufacturing Conscious Engineering by participating in development and coordination of engineering projects, including design, procurement and installation of new equipment and modification of existing Performing visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and testing of incoming materials based on inspection plans, workmanship standards, technical drawings and test methods.

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One(1+) year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Associates degree in an engineering related field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Robotics & Automation, etc.)
• Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM).
• High level of understanding and ability to use analytical tools and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
• Ability to communicate, both written and oral, technical information to a diverse audience

Testing:

All candidates must successfully complete 3M’s Maintenance Battery test.

Pay Transparency:

The pay for this position is $26.31/hr.
