Job Description: Job Summary
The GBS Talent Strategy and Acquisition Leader is responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies that support the growth and operational needs of 3M’s Global Business Services organization. This role provides strategic direction, ensures strong governance and compliance, manages external talent partners, and maintains overall accountability for hiring outcomes. Role reports directly into PH Site Leader but dotted line to Global Talent Acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the GBS Hiring Ramp Up Plan to meet operational and capability requirements, including largescale phased hiring and steady state talent replacement.
  • Develop and manage vendor partnerships to ensure performance, quality, and adherence to service expectations.
  • Establish and maintain governance mechanisms to ensure compliance with 3M policies, regulatory requirements, and global talent acquisition standards.
  • Provide overall accountability for talent acquisition outcomes, including planning, performance management, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with GBS leadership, HR, and functional stakeholders to align hiring strategies with business priorities.
  • Monitor talent market trends and recommend strategic adjustments to optimize hiring effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent application of talent processes, tools, and metrics to support data driven decision making.
  • Lead and manage in-house recruitment team
  • Oversee recruitment marketing, employer branding, hiring events, and sourcing channels

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, or HR leadership, preferably in a global or shared services environment, including at least 5 years in an HR leadership role.
  • Strong vendor management, governance, and compliance experience.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, analytics, and recruitment performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive large‑scale hiring initiatives and deliver against defined timelines.
  • Must have excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem- solving skills.
  • Experience in tools/technologies such as Workday, Success factors, Taleo, etc. would be a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a customer focused environment.
