Job Description:
Webinar and e Learning Specialist
Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world
As a Webinar & e Learning Specialist, you will design, develop, and support customer and internal learning solutions for the Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG). The role focuses primarily on e Learning and instructional design (~70%) with additional responsibility for webinar program support (~30%).
You will partner closely with Division, Area, Marketing, and Customer Education teams to deliver engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences aligned to global go-to-market strategies. This role requires strong collaboration, communication, and a data-informed mindset to continuously improve learning impact.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams globally while applying creativity, instructional expertise, and technical skills to advance customer education programs.
The impact you will make in this role
e Learning & Instructional Design (Primary Focus – ~70%)
- Develop digital learning content for internal and external audiences, including courses, videos, simulations, and assessments
- Manage learning platform tasks such as publishing courses and creating classes
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Create outlines, storyboards, lesson plans, scripts, and interactive content using tools such as Articulate and Adobe
- Partner with division and area stakeholders to align learning content with business priorities and support localization for regional audiences
- Ensure compliance with brand, legal, and regulatory standards.
Webinar Program Support & Execution (~30%)
- Manage webinar setup, hosting, and reporting for LATAM/USAC programs
- Provide platform expertise and presenter coaching for effective delivery
- Coordinate briefing processes, communication, and execution timelines
- Support global webinar standards and maintain data quality and reporting accuracy
- Collaboration, Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Manage project timelines and communication with cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate across marketing, customer education, and technical teams globally
- Analyse LMS and webinar data to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities
- Enhance learning effectiveness through learner feedback and engagement data
- Explore new tools and technologies to strengthen digital learning solutions.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Experience in instructional design, e Learning development, or adult education.
- Experience with LMS platforms and virtual learning tools such as Teams Premium and ON24
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Experience managing multiple projects across cross-functional teams.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience creating interactive learning using Articulate or similar tools
- Experience producing or supporting webinars using ON24, Teams Premium, or similar platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyze dashboards and use data for decision-making
- Demonstrated global collaboration experience
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage deliverables independently
- Curiosity and interest in emerging learning technologies.
Work Location: This position follows an on-site working model, meaning the employee is required to perform their duties at the GSC Costa Rica, located at Centro Corporativo El Cafetal, Belén, Heredia. However, depending on the company´s needs and operational capabilities, a flexible on-site schedule may be permitted. At present, employees are expected to work from the office one day per week, to foster collaboration and maintain team connection. Nevertheless, the required on-site presence may be adjusted in the future and could increase to several days per week, depending on business needs and operational priorities. The company will communicate any such changes in advance to ensure a smooth transition.
