We are looking for a strategic Marketing Consultant to help us scale our research partnerships and empower global researchers to leverage the world’s largest crowdsourced genetic database for good.

Who We Are

We are a group of individuals passionate about genetic discovery. 23and Me Research Institute is a nonprofit medical research organization that enables people everywhere to access their genetic information, learn about themselves, and participate in the world's largest crowdsourced research initiative. The Institute aims to be the world's most significant contributor to scientific advancement, uniting people with the common goal of improving health and deepening our understanding of DNA — the code of life.

What You'll Do

You will be the strategic bridge between our technical breakthroughs and our external partners (Biotech, Pharma, Non-profits, and Academic Institutions). Your mission is to translate complex genetic capabilities into a compelling partner-facing narrative.

  • Strategic Messaging: Develop and refine the value proposition for 23and Me’s research services, including how our data increases the "probability of success" in therapeutic development.

  • Sales & Partnership Enablement: Build a high-fidelity toolkit of collateral, including technical white papers, use-case slide decks, and partner-facing newsletters.

  • Market Intelligence: Partner with Business Development to identify and tier high-priority research partners, ensuring our outreach is data-driven and highly targeted.

  • GTM Execution: Design and execute a content delivery plan that places our research insights in front of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and industry decision-makers.

  • Cross-Functional Synthesis: Serve as the "connective tissue" between Statistical Geneticists, Product Managers, Legal, and external stakeholders to ensure all communications are scientifically accurate and ethically sound.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a unique "multilingual" professional—someone who speaks the language of Genomics, B2B Growth, and Mission-Driven Impact.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biomedical Science (or a related field). A PhD is a significant plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, specifically within Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), Life Sciences, or Health-Tech.

  • A solid grasp of human genetics (GWAS, SNPs, RNASeq, WGS) and the ability to explain these concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • A proven track record of managing complex projects independently, meeting deadlines, and navigating the regulatory/ethical requirements of human subject research.

  • The ability to work seamlessly across R&D, Legal, and Product teams to drive consensus and project success.
