What you’ll need to succeed as a Total Rewards Intern at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree

  • 2 or more years of relevant coursework

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Education toward a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field

  • Completed 1 HR internship, Compensation, or Benefits

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Share Point

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills

  • Energetic work style with a strong drive to succeed

  • Self-motivated instincts with the ability to work well independently or in a team environment and consult with team members/management as needed

About the Total Rewards Intern job

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Support the Total Rewards team in compensation and benefits projects

  • Assist with compensation survey data collection, analysis, and reporting

  • Help prepare materials for annual compensation cycles and benefits enrollment

  • Participate in benchmarking and market pricing activities

  • Contribute to the development and communication of compensation and benefits policies

  • Support audits and compliance activities related to pay and benefits

  • Assist with employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits

  • Serve as a key contributor to projects that impact the business and solve real problems

  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned
