About Workday

Your work days are brighter here. We're obsessed with making hard work pay off, for our people, our customers, and the world around us. As a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform for managing people, money, and agents, we're shaping the future of work so teams can reach their potential and focus on what matters most. The minute you join, you'll feel it. Not just in the products we build, but in how we show up for each other. Our culture is rooted in integrity, empathy, and shared enthusiasm. We're in this together, tackling big challenges with bold ideas and genuine care. We look for curious minds and courageous collaborators who bring sun-drenched optimism and drive. Whether you're building smarter solutions, supporting customers, or creating a space where everyone belongs, you'll do meaningful work with Workmates who've got your back. In return, we'll give you the trust to take risks, the tools to grow, the skills to develop and the support of a company invested in you for the long haul.

About the Team

Security is of the utmost importance for customers migrating to the cloud. The Security Product Management team at Workday defines the strategy for security features and functionality to scale and strengthen our security platform to support all Workday customers with a rich feature set and controls for leading digital identity and verifying user and system access. We're growing at a fast pace and are looking for folks with a strategic vision and a consistent record for successfully delivering sought-after products to market!

About the Role

In a world of evolving digital identity, establishing and securing the identity of the hybrid workforce of both human users and AI agents is paramount for our customers. We are defining and building the foundational controls to ensure that everyone—human or machine—can securely prove their identity before accessing any of our services, with clear, transparent audit trails. In this role, you'll be on the front lines, responsible for the design and execution of products that help our customers apply Zero Trust principles through the delivery of more resilient and adaptable multi-factor and passwordless authentication solutions and sophisticated identity governance tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Workday's Senior leadership, Customers, Product Management, and Development teams to define requirements that drive the overall authentication strategy and roadmap
  • Represent the customer and be data-driven when evaluating development decisions with engineering teams through design, testing and product/feature release
  • Identify platform solutions or improvements to help tackle customer problems or feedback
  • Own feature design documents to ensure multiple teams apply the solutions
  • Capture, prioritize, and define requirements (while actively grooming backlog) into executable epics and user stories for engineering
  • Build and maintain a prioritized backlog of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, based on key collaborator requirements, and persona and use case development
  • Independently drive the product vision and execution for a dedicated Scrum team, ensuring successful delivery by actively owning and guiding all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product prioritization

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, or other equivalent role
  • 4+ years of proven experience in one or more of the following areas: authentication, identity management, authorization, or related security technologies
  • Validated understanding of common compliance security regulations and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and collaborate across multiple technical and product teams in a matrixed environment

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to clearly prioritize and articulate product requirements, as well as develop a vision and strategy for area of ownership
  • Ability to break down complex concepts and distill requirements that meet customer needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels including customers, executives, and subject matter authorities
  • Experience with SaaS and/or cloud infrastructure products and services
  • Experienced with Scrum and other agile development methodologies, and general software standard processes
  • Passionate about technology and the security space

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
