Role Purpose

Lead the DevOps team to facilitate better coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining integration and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Drive technical solution support to align the team on continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) of technology in applications
  • Design and define the overall DevOps architecture and framework for project/module delivery based on client requirements
  • Select and deploy appropriate DevOps tools and platforms aligned to customer needs
  • Create a tool deployment model for validating, testing, and monitoring performance
  • Define and manage IT infrastructure according to supported software requirements
  • Manage and drive the DevOps pipeline across the entire application lifecycle—from planning and coding to testing, staging, release, configuration, and monitoring
  • Develop coding and scripting solutions to connect code elements with operating systems and production infrastructure with minimal disruptions
  • Ensure application configuration onboarding from planning to release
  • Integrate security throughout the DevOps lifecycle to maintain data privacy and prevent cyber risks

Customer Support

  • Provide timely support to internal and external customers on multiple platforms
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues with DevOps tools across projects
  • Perform root cause analysis of major incidents and critical issues
  • Develop alternative solutions based on analysis
  • Follow escalation procedures when needed
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team

Team Management

  • Forecast talent requirements and hire adequate resources
  • Ensure full compliance with Wipro's onboarding and training standards
  • Build an internal talent pool and support career progression
  • Promote diversity in leadership
  • Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback
  • Drive team engagement initiatives and track satisfaction scores
  • Challenge the team with larger, enriching projects
  • Recognize and appreciate employee contributions

Performance Metrics

  • 100% error-free onboarding and implementation
  • Customer satisfaction (CSAT) on service tool management and troubleshooting
  • Percentage of team trained on new skills
  • Team attrition rate
  • Employee satisfaction scores
