Job Description:
Job Description Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced trouble shooting of Storage failures
- L3 level support.
- Handle escalations from L2 incident Management team.
- Coordination on Problem analysis and providing RCA.
- Plan, execute and report Availability, Performance & Capacity management of storage and services.
- Coordination with vendor / Service provider for problem resolution.
- Change Impact analysis and Change coordination.
- Resolving Storage incidents and problems.
- Storage Patch management.
- Plan and execute DR requirements for the tower and coordinate the same at project and program level requirements.
Short Description:
- Troubleshoot hardware and provide hands and feet support.
- Meet reporting requirements and represent the tower in customer, project, program meeting and audits as required.
- Lead the tower for technical operations, Operations standardization, and documentation review.
- Manage, maintain & update the Knowledge management database for the tower.
- Coordinate with customers in creation of SOP's, Templates, policies, etc. And make sure they are implemented and effective.
- Making sure that all the resources meet the required security standards, policy and operations standards, quality guidelines and procedure and process are always followed.
- Conduct audits on incident ticket and service requests and recommend improvements.
- Analysis all the incident, service tickets and initiate for Service improvement and Lean programs.
Qualification & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling Storage administration.
- Expert Knowledge in DELL EMC Power Max/Powerstore, Unity and Net App, Hitachi, IBM Storage, Native commands of SAN and NAS devices. Vendor Management proactive troubleshooting and storage version upgrades.
- Operating system and Cluster setup knowledge on storage array and Performance analysis and tuning.
- Expert skills in Performance, Availability and Capacity Management of Servers and Storage systems.
- Able to handle and troubleshoot hardware issues on EMC Storage devices and Net App storage arrays.
- Expert knowledge in Net App storage management, DELL EMC, Cisco and Brocade switches.
- Should have a very good understanding of ITIL process. Preferably ITIL foundation certified.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, good customer handling skills and working experience in working with Virtual customers & Teams.
- Consistent regular interaction with both internal and external customers as well as account managers and management.
