Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

Who We Are…

When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. The New Role…The Growth & Audience Analyst role plays an integral role in marketing and analytics efforts by building scalable performance reporting & data pipelines. The analyst works cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical requirements. This role also oversees the full audience development workflow—from intake and segmentation to deployment. Success requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in SQL and BI tools, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Reporting and Data Management:

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, data discovery and exploration, KPI definitions, and in-depth data analyses.
  • Design and implement semantic-layer data models and transformations to support flexible, self-service reporting.
  • Build, maintain and enhance data connections and campaign performance dashboards; proactively troubleshoot data quality issues.
  • Develop analytics taxonomies and naming conventions across digital channels to ensure consistent and accurate data collection for performance analysis.
  • Support operational tracking needs, including deeplink management, QR code generation, and ad-hoc tracking link creation.

Audience Development

  • Partner with marketing and analytics stakeholders to gather and translate audience requirements into technical requirements/tickets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of brand-specific goals and audience attributes to inform targeting strategy.
  • Oversee the full audience development pipeline including request intake, segmentation design, validation and deployment.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Advanced communication skills (written/verbal), with emphasis on demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts between business and technical groups.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills across multiple threads of work streams.
  • Proven data exploration, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in SQL, R, Python, etc., and BI tools (Datorama, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
  • Experience with marketing, advertising, and analytics data (i.e. MMP, CDP, CRM, Ad platforms)
  • Experience working with large and complex SQL databases, primarily, but not limited to, PostgreSQL and Snowflake. Knowledge of data engineering/pipelines (Apache Hop/Pentaho/etc.) a plus.
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics, or related field required.

How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at www.wbd.com/guiding-principles/ along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day.
