Position Summary...

What you'll do...
We are currently searching for a seasoned Diesel Truck/Trailer Mechanic to join our Supply Chain team at Walmart. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our tractor and trailer equipment. This role requires a keen eye for safety, precision, and attention to detail.
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (Wednesday-Saturday 3:15pm-1:45am)
Responsibilities:
Safely and accurately diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment, conducting failure analysis and rebuilding fleet equipment components as needed. Communicate with management regarding any issues related to housekeeping, harmful working conditions, and unsafe practices, proposing corrective actions where possible. Report any broken tools or missing supplies necessary for fleet equipment repairs to management and take steps to solve the issue if possible. correctly complete complex work orders with proper coding such as Reason for Repair (RFR), American Trucking Association (ATA), and detailed descriptions of condition, cause, and correction. Maintain a clean and safe working environment to ensure safety and compliance. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Brake inspection qualification as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle inspection qualification as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

The hourly wage range for this position is $36.40-$39.90
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
