Position Summary...
The Business Development Team is the growth engine of Walmart's transportation services platform. The team is responsible for identifying and securing new shipper relationships, expanding market presence, and building a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
What you'll do...
Business Development Leadership: Proven success building and scaling business development strategies and teams in freight brokerage and/or transportation environments. Identify, pursue, and close new shipper relationships to drive portfolio growth and revenue expansion. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that open new verticals and geographies. Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive dynamics to position Walmart as the partner of choice.
Relationship Growth & Pipeline Management: Build and nurture a high-value pipeline of prospective shipper relationships through strategic outreach, networking, and industry engagement. Cultivate executive-level relationships that accelerate deal velocity and deepen long-term partnerships. Deliver compelling business reviews and proposals that demonstrate Walmart's value proposition and drive strategic growth initiatives forward.
Market Intelligence & Analytics: Leverage market data, competitive insights, and customer analytics to identify high-potential growth opportunities and refine targeting strategies. Develop reporting that not only presents pipeline and revenue analyses in a consumable manner but draws actionable insights to inform strategic business development decisions.
Collaborative Mindset: Develop cross-functional relationships to ensure the shipper relationships are aligned across the organization. Provide Merchandising with effective insights in addition to collaborative engagement with shippers on mutually beneficial outcomes. Navigate complex stakeholder environments with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
