Job Description:

Job Profile Summary:

In this internal and customer-facing position you will be responsible for influencing and structuring strong, transparent customer contracts as well as ensuring customers are leveraging the correct licensing model for the way they do business at a price commensurate with the value they receive.

  • You will work with a variety of resources across the company including mainframe leadership, sales, legal (internal & external), compliance, and customers to understand their business environment and recommend the appropriate license model, Terms & Conditions as well as pricing.
  • You will partner with the Mainframe Business Specialists and the customer if needed to present on the license models, taking into consideration the current customer requirements
  • You will partner with the extended Account Teams to provide training and consultation on the most current mainframe positions and mechanics of the licensing programs.
  • You will collaborate with your peers to review and evaluate licensing and pricing standards, making updates and proposing changes to Senior Management.
  • This is a very critical & visible role, requiring regular updates & presentations to Sr. Management, up to and including the division General Manager.

This position will be filled by a fully qualified, career-oriented professional. .

Skills & Expertise Required:

  • Experience in software licensing/pricing

  • Ability to work individually and as part of an extended team
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Google Suite

  • Ability to Prioritize and communicate changes in priority, delays, or roadblocks
  • Familiarity with Software Contracts including terms & conditions
  • Knowledge of Telemetry & License Management Reporting & Tools (including IBM ISV SCRT Reports)
  • Ability to quickly learn a wide variety of technical and non-technical skills

Job Complexity / Contribution:

Works on problems of diverse scopes in a fast paced and changing environment where analysis of data and contracts requires evaluating multiple factors to create recommendations. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in their own area of expertise.

Supervision:

  • Work is independent and collaborative in nature, usually with minimal supervision, conferring with supervisors or experts on unusual matters.
  • Requires daily decision-making capabilities and actions that may not be reviewed by superiors.
  • Provides regular updates to manager/leadership on projects and account status

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience or master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience
