Visas core expense management solution is Visa Spend Clarity (VSC) which empowers commercial clients through its innovative capabilities spanning reporting,spend controls and virtual cards, including Flexi Purchase which is a whitelabel VSC platform that Visa enables for NAB and BNZ.

As Director, Expense Management, CMS AuNZPI, you'll spearhead strategic sales in expense management solutions, driving revenue growth, innovation, and cross-functional partnerships to revolutionize B2B payments across issuers in AuNZSP.

Flexi Purchase Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the Flexi Purchase Sales Team Lead, providing high-level guidance and oversight over the sales channel, ensuring alignment with CMS objectives and fostering a high-performance sales team culture.
  • Partner with CMS and VSC Product teams on go-to-market strategies for Flexi Purchase enhancements such as Virtual-Cards-in-Mobile-Wallet and Virtual-to-Other-Expense integrations, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Spend Clarity Expansion:

  • Expand the VSC footprint across AuNZ with issuers that have underutilized VSC solutions.
  • Upgrade VSC platforms, collaborate with issuer’s product and banking teams, and devise innovative strategies to maximize customer utilisation and value.
  • Uncover and secure new Spend Clarity deals with other AuNZ issuers to accelerate B2B adoption and growth.

Cross-Solution Opportunity Development:

  • Capitalise on NAB and BNZ corporate relationships to identify and develop opportunities for other CMS solutions, collaborating with executives for strategic alignment.
  • Construct high-value pipelines through cross-selling, closing multi-product deals that grow B2B spend penetration.

SME Solution Delivery:

  • Partner with the Visa Global product team to develop a customized expense management solution for small to medium businesses, collaborating on product customization, marketing, and rollout to target small/medium businesses for rapid segment capture and revenue growth.

This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and is a hybrid position. The expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your hiring manager

To excel in this role, candidates should bring a mix of strategic sales expertise and leadership, with a commitment to inclusive and innovative practices.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven consultative sales and problem-solving with client centric focus on tangible results.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, and executive presence to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to simplify complex business and technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and innovation in product differentiation, with proven impact (e.g. revenue growth, market expansion).
  • Strong analytical skills for pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity spotting.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in consultative B2B sales or business development within financial services, payments, or fintech, including 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams and complex partnerships (e.g. with banks or issuers).
  • AuNZ and Asia Pacific experience is highly desirable.
