Job Description
The Senior Product Manager, Flex and Installments Product Development, Issuance will drive the definition, delivery, and optimization of Visa’s Flex and Installments product suite—including Visa Flexible Credential, Visa Installment Credential, Visa Installment Solutions, and future product lines. This role is critical for modernizing credential capability, enabling new income streams, and supporting issuers and fintechs in achieving top-of-wallet status. Reporting to the Director, Flex and Installments Products, you will focus on delivering integrated product experiences, features, and capabilities that address the needs of large-scale issuers, mid-tier issuers, hyper-growth fintechs, and issuer partners and processors.
This position requires a strong understanding of the four-party ecosystem and card-based payments, with a primary emphasis on the issuance side. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Visa to build, commercialize, and scale our business services, collaborating with Product Strategy, Solution Enablement, Platform Products, Tokens, and Architecture & Engineering Teams.
This role is global and will need to balance regional and global opportunities to achieve overall solution and platform objectives. Accomplishing this will require ability to support prioritization decisions, collaborate cross-functionally and strong technical aptitude, business acumen and client-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities and Role Expectations:
- Product Area Ownership: Manage and deliver enhancements for a defined area within the Flex and Installments suite, including current and future products and services.
- Issuer Growth Enablement: Develop and launch solutions that accelerate growth for issuers and fintechs, supporting strategic partners and new entrants.
- Integrated Experiences: Ensure seamless, integrated features and functionalities, delivering a unified experience for issuers and cardholders.
- Customer Focus: Deeply understand issuer and fintech needs, championing improvements to cardholder experiences both online and in-person.
- Product Development: Author requirements, prioritize backlogs, and partner with engineering and architecture to deliver new features and solutions. Support build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions to maximize value.
- Technical Acumen & Architecture Partnership: Demonstrate strong technical fluency (APIs, data models, platform SLAs, resilience/security basics) to write clear, testable requirements; collaborate with Tech Architecture/Processing to align on solution design, estimate effort (e.g., tshirt sizing), manage dependencies, and ensure features meet performance and reliability targets (e.g., rules engine latency, availability, observability).
- Execution and Delivery: Lead initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope, balancing feature development with technical debt and scalability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Strategy, Solution Enablement, Platform Products, Tokens, and Architecture to define and deliver solutions. Provide SME support for client activities and project delivery across regions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance, iterate on solutions, and optimize outcomes using data-driven insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product lifecycle.
