Job Description
The Product Go to Market Manager, Germany, supports the Go to Market Lead in bringing new Visa products and solutions to market to ensure Visa continues to hold its leadership position in driving the growth of payment solutions. This includes the product sales planning and monitoring, working with Account Executives on account planning, as well as on specific sales opportunities.
Additionally, this position tailors compelling consumer product propositions to client’s needs, with a focus on the priority product segments and uses subject matter expertise as well as thought
leadership to help account executives win new business.
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive professional with a good understanding of planning and sales performance monitoring. This role requires consultative client engagement and relationship building skills to uncover client strategies, priorities, and needs. You will apply your product and project management expertise, along with a keen awareness of consumer payment trends, to help create innovative payment solutions that drive customer engagement with Visa products. Success in this role also depends on your ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations tailored to both internal and external stakeholders.
The right candidate must possess technical and functional understanding of payment systems, core product, digital payment solutions. This includes familiarity with technologies and systems used in payments, mobile and e-commerce specifically, in areas of 3D Secure, authentication, NFC,
tokenization, as also a working knowledge of system interconnection methods (APIs, SDKs,etc.). The candidate can define and articulate the market’s product requirements, develop and champion changes in order to align Visa client needs with those of the successful ongoing growth of the network. The role will engage closely with account executives, clients and various local and regional teams, in order to support in influencing adoption of the solutions on the German market.
The role is based in Frankfurt and will require occasional domestic travel and abroad.
Responsibilities:
- Tailoring Visa product and solutions to client’s needs. This includes developing compelling presentations tailored to internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating strategic initiatives and product value
- Managing the product sales planning process, based on identifying the opportunities for value creation and sales of Visa products with the understanding of client’s challenges and goals
- Partner with Sales team to develop and execute account strategies, objectives and plans to increase revenue and market share
- Understand German market environment an provide inputs into country operational planning and account plans
- Track competition activity and continually be focused on ensuring that Visa’s products and solutions deployed in the market meet all relevant stakeholders’ payment needs
- Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of various customer segment business needs, leveraging Visa solutions across multiple platforms
- Working hand-in-hand with colleagues from other functional areas
- Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization
- Contributing to win strategy for RFPs
- Contribution to building the awareness of Visa innovative and new solutions approach among clients during dedicated cross-products meetings
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- Strong understanding of consumer debit and credit products as well as affluent segment needs
- Proven experience with product topics, sales support, project management, card operations and ability to translate client needs into product and solution requirements
- Excellent ability to craft and deliver compelling, visually engaging presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to use quantitative insights to support data informed decision making. Understanding of payment technologies related to e Commerce, Tokenization, EMV, NFC, etc.
- Strong team orientation, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross functionally in a matrixed organization and dynamic environment
- Demonstrates energy and positive response when tackling challenging problems and views complicated tasks as engaging or motivating, and positive under pressure
- Demonstrates good organizational skills and contributes to managing projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Fluent in written and spoken English and German
