Taxable Money Market Portfolio Manager

The Vanguard Money Market team oversees $700B in assets and is the 3rd largest money fund provider in the industry. This role will serve as the second in command to the Head of Taxable Money Markets, managing portfolios and performing detailed analysis for the Taxable Money Market portfolios.

Core Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Head of Taxable Money Markets to develop and implement investment strategies for all Vanguard money market portfolios.
• Day-to-day responsibility for the portfolio management of several Vanguard MMFs including the trading of repurchase agreements, US Treasuries, and US agency securities.
• Represent the Taxable Money Market team, funds, and strategies to both internal and external audiences, such as clients, at industry conferences, with regulators, or with industry associations.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external trading counterparties and internal business partners, such as credit research, trading operations, Office of the General Counsel, investment risk, and investment strategy.
• Help train and develop less tenured Taxable Money Market team members.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of related work experience, including 5 years of Money Market experience preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or statistics or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
• MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• Experience with SEC rule 2a-7.
• Leadership experience within the investment management industry preferred.
