About the Role
The Regulated Services Team is looking for an Operations Manager who will work closely with Uber's Regulated Entities and Compliance teams supporting the Fin Tech licensed activities in EEA, UK, Mexico and Taiwan.
This role will be responsible for managing the event and incident management process for the regulated entities to ensure tracking and monitoring of events and incidents and timely reporting to the regulator in case of incidents breaching thresholds. This role will also be responsible for supporting Product launches and bi-annual product planning cycles which requires closely working with the Regulated Entities, Compliance, Product, and Operations teams to ensure regulatory requirements are translated into clear execution plans. The role is execution-focused, highly cross-functional, and central to enabling compliant product delivery and operations.
What You'll Do:
- Identifying, logging, analyzing and reporting of events and incidents impacting regulated entities in line with the EBA/FCA Guidelines, DORA and local supervisory requirements.
- Support events and incidents management activities, including coordination, tracking, and reporting for the regulated entities.
- Support with the delivery of payments compliance product planning for regulated entities, partnering with the Regulated Entities, Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams to ensure regulatory readiness aligns with product roadmaps and launch timelines.
- Strategic thinking, leverage automation and AI to improve operational efficiency
- Implement and maintain operational controls in line with EBA/FCA Guidelines, DORA and local supervisory requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in risk operations, delivering complex programs or projects (in a regulated, or compliance-driven environment is a bonus!).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; confident using data to make decisions and build business cases.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Finance, Compliance, etc
- Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions at various organizational levels
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize complex operations that require the support of peers and other teams, and deliver results in a fast changing environment
- Enthusiastic, self-starting, and able to thrive in fast-paced, agile environments
- Excellent organizational skills in managing documents, communication with cross functional stakeholders, key reports and policy/SOPs etc
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with regulated payment institutions or licensed financial entities.
- Experience working across multiple regions
