About the Role

Uber seeks a GBS Senior Business Analyst to be part of the GBS Ops team under the CAO Org. This position will be located in Hyderabad, India and will support development of the overall GBS program spanning strategy, leading implementation of robust transaction policies, processes and tools. You will work closely with the teams in Finance Org to enhance processes within Fin Ops and accounting, partner with global process owners to streamline processes, and create the right metrics to track SLA's & KPI's. Work with outsourced partners to drive seamless delivery, drive transformation/generate value and adhere to governance. This position would report to the GBS Operations Lead also located in Bangalore/ Hyderabad.

What You'll Do:

Drive Operational Excellence:

  1. Responsible for the service delivery of outsourced scope (financial processes including Procure to Pay, Accounts Payable) across Global delivery centers
  2. Manage Service Level Agreements and create remediation plans
  3. Acts as a GBS owner and develops a robust program strategy to drive compliance and efficiency at Uber
  4. Proactively seeks new opportunities to add value, through a deep understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payments processing
  5. Develops and mentors staff through open communication, training and development opportunities. Keeps employee motivation ensuring that the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  1. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and efficiency of GBS financial processes.
  2. Prepare regular reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  3. Establishes performance reporting and procedures for functional teams
  4. Identify and implement GBS best practices in processes and optimize utilization of the GBS teams

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  1. Collaborate with finance leaders, business partners, and key stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with GBS objectives.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful collaboration and achievement of financial goals.
  3. Partner with other finance roles and business leaders, to evaluate finance performance

Change Management:

  1. Make sure GBS team partners & is fully onboard for org wide and finance wide technology & process changes
  2. Drive change management framework with the GBS teams to make sure seamless transition.
  3. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that can positively impact finance operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
  2. Proven experience (+8 years) in financial management, with a focus on process optimization and team leadership.
  3. Strong understanding of global financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  5. Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment and ability to empower teams around you

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in implementing financial technologies and automation solutions.
  2. Experience with complex decision making and problem solving using Lean / Six Sigma techniques
  3. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
