About the Role

Uber Direct is scaling rapidly in Taiwan, and this role sits at the center of how our delivery solutions translate into real-world merchant impact. As a key member of the Uber Direct team, you will help shape how merchants adopt, operate, and scale last-mile delivery by combining product operations expertise, marketplace knowledge, and data-driven decision-making.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the local execution of Uber Direct's product strategy by closely collaborating with Commercial, Marketplace Operations, and Global Product teams. Your core responsibilities will focus on solution design and rollout, optimizing reliability and performance through strategic use of marketplace pricing and operational levers to improve key metrics like completion rate and on-time rate, and serving as a crucial liaison to advocate for merchant needs to the global product team. Ultimately, your efforts in developing scalable solutions and ensuring delivery reliability will directly drive product adoption and secure Uber Direct's long-term success in the Taiwan market.

Your Impact in this Role:

  • Delivery Solution Design

  • Deeply understand merchant operational workflows and design delivery solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and market-ready.

  • Creatively leverage existing Uber Direct products while guiding merchants to evolve their operating models to unlock new delivery capabilities and long-term performance gains.

  • Product Rollout GTM

  • Lead the rollout and adoption of Uber Direct delivery solutions in Taiwan in close partnership with Commercial and Global Product teams.

  • Serve as the local product operations champion, establishing best practices for API integrations and driving merchant adoption through scalable, locally optimized solutions.

  • Translate merchant feedback and market insights into clear product inputs, influencing global product development and roadmap prioritization.

  • Reliability Optimization

  • Drive delivery reliability by ensuring strong merchant adoption of Uber Direct products and actively managing available marketplace pricing levers.

  • Partner with the Global Marketplace Operations teams to optimize pricing strategies and ensure key marketplace capabilities (e.g., dispatching, matching) are effectively deployed for Uber Direct in Taiwan.

  • Analytics & Strategy Formulation

  • Evaluate the impact of solution launches using quantitative metrics (cost, efficiency, reliability).

  • Monitor marketplace and delivery performance (e.g., completion rate, on-time rate, cost per trip).

  • Translate insights into actionable improvements for pricing, operations, and merchant integration.

  • Partner with Commercial teams to deliver data-backed insights for merchant delivery reliability and operational efficiency, and lead cross-functional initiatives to build best-in-class delivery solutions for Uber Direct merchants.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in product operations, business operations, analytics, consulting, or related roles, preferably in fast-paced corporate environments.
  2. Proficiency in SQL and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel / Google Sheets) to analyze performance, monitor KPIs, and support data-driven decision-making.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and measure impact across cost, efficiency, and reliability metrics.
  4. Proven experience working cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Commercial, and Analytics teams to deliver outcomes in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
  5. Demonstrated ability to design and execute scalable operational or product solutions, from problem definition through rollout and iteration.
  6. Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics and present clear, structured insights to different stakeholders.
  7. Comfortable operating as an independent contributor, owning projects end-to-end, and driving alignment without direct authority.
  8. Fluency in both English and Mandarin for effective verbal and written communication and influence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with marketplace or logistics/ delivery products, with familiarity in areas such as dispatching, matching, pricing levers, or supply-demand optimization.
  2. Prior experience supporting product launches or GTM execution in a local market while partnering with global product teams.
  3. Experience designing or supporting merchant-facing solutions, including API-based integrations or operational workflows in e-commerce or last-mile delivery environments.
