About the Role

As a Performance Lead for our Digital Sales Centre (DSC) in Japan, you'll act as the driver of regional scaled sales strategy - ensuring our restaurant account management and growth efforts are adapted to regional realities, operationally sound, and delivering impact at scale. You will spearhead the growth of a new BPO sales team aimed to grow and integrate multiple sales and sales support initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, matrixed environments and is passionate about translating strategy into execution. You'll be driving measurable outcomes across BPO-led teams while shaping the future of how Uber Eats grows its merchant base in Japan.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

  1. Day to day management of sales and account management activities of scaled sales reps.
  2. Own sales quota and deliver regular updates to General Manager, Head of Account Management, and Director of Acquisition.
  3. Prepare and present BPO performance at business reviews, engage stakeholders from different teams on insights preparation and key action items sharing.
  4. Launch and iterate one-to-many touch channels aimed at boosting Small Business Gross Bookings and Orders for the country using CRM tools.

What You'll Need:

Proven Sales Leadership:

  1. 9+ years of experience leading high-velocity sales operations, account management or BPO-led teams, ideally in a tech, platform, or marketplace business.

Strong Analytical Acumen:

  1. Ability to turn data into actionable insights. Familiarity with funnel diagnostics, sales ops, and continuous performance improvement.

Stakeholder Influence

  1. Adept at working cross-functionally with senior leaders, aligning diverse stakeholders toward shared goals.

Ability to Manage BPO Teams using contracts and set SLAs

  1. Experience leading outsourced sales through detailed KPIs and SLAs and weekly reviews. Process setting and improvement experience for scaled teams.

Execution-Oriented Mindset

  1. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing strategic direction with day-to-day operational excellence.

Program Management Skills:

  1. Experience leading complex, multi-country rollouts of commercial or sales programs is a plus.

Communication Excellence

  1. Able to clearly articulate priorities, influence decision-makers, and inspire action across internal and external teams.
