In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As a Technical Manager – Engineering Design, you will collaborate closely with the design & cross-functional teams globally to build industry-relevant products that meet required specifications for our global customers. The projects could be in the areas of Productivity, New product development, Quality and reliability, Agile, New technology platform and others.

Where is the work:  

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Bangalore.

What you will do:   

• Inspire, engage and lead a team of engineers managing quality, on time delivery, cost, milestones, engineering processes, productivity projects and innovation.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing engineering, suppliers, quality, and operations, in each of their deliverables.
• Complete Project coordination with Project partners, Cross functional Managers. Complete Understanding of tools and technologies used in Engineering Design. Performs Design reviews and mentors Design Engineers. Consistently delivers high-quality Design deliverables.
• Technically Manage a large team of engineers while handling their annual objectives, performance, growth and development, global projects, Trainings.
• Demonstrable leadership skills, professional and positive approach, diligent with attention to detail, team player and able to work on own initiative, assertive, adaptable, creative and a willingness to go the extra mile when required.

What you will bring:

• Hands on exp in engineering design while working on NPD, VAVE, Design automation, Productivity and QNR projects 
• Hands on exp working on product design software's such as Creo, SolidWorks.
• Hands on exp working on PLM processes and tools such as Windchill. 
• Someone with a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies wrt Engineering design and help in designing strategies for future road map.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken and skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Hands on experience and working knowledge with Mechanical Engineering Design while Integrating advanced capabilities such as MBD - Model-based definition with hands on working knowledge of PMI – Product manufacturing information, complete understanding of automating workflows and reducing manual work and re-work.
• Working knowledge in advanced areas such Pro-programming, AI Driven Generative design, AI process Automation, Design for Circularity, AR Collaboration, IOT driven design.
• A mechanical engineer background with 13+ years of experience in the field of engineering which includes at least 5+ years of people management experience.
