We’re looking for a Pre-Sales Lab Engineer to design and manage technical lab environments that showcase the power of Torq’s AI-driven SOC platform.

In this role, you’ll build POC labs, automation workflows, and investigation scenarios powered by AI agents, helping demonstrate how modern SOC teams can detect, investigate, and respond to threats using autonomous security automation.

You will work closely with Sales Engineering, Product, Security, and Marketing teams to deliver hands-on technical experiences for customers and partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain POC and demo environments that demonstrate Torq’s AI-driven SOC workflows.

  • Design realistic investigation and response scenarios powered by automation and AI agents.

  • Integrate leading security tools such as EDR, Email Security, Firewalls, and SIEM into lab environments.

  • Support customer POCs and technical sales engagements.

  • Build reusable automation workflows and demo scenarios for Sales Engineering teams.

  • Troubleshoot and rapidly rebuild environments to support fast sales cycles.

  • Support technical events, webinars, and conferences with demo environments and use cases.

  • Improve lab scalability through automation and orchestration.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, SOC engineering, SOAR, or security automation

  • Hands-on experience with SOC workflows, incident response, or security operations

  • Experience working with security and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Okta, Crowd Strike, Sentinel One, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Nessus, Service Now, and Jira

  • Experience building and managing technical labs, demo environments, or POC infrastructure

  • Experience with Python scripting or API integrations

  • Familiarity with enterprise environments such as Microsoft Active Directory or Google Workspace administration

  • Strong knowledge of sales engineering processes, technical sales workflows, and customer engagement.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences

Nice to Have

  • Experience with security automation or SOAR platforms

  • Familiarity with AI-driven security workflows
