We’re looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex accounting challenges. This is a highly visible and impactful role, responsible for implementing revenue policies, reviewing transactions, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.

About This Role (Responsibilities)

As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Toast’s global revenue accounting processes. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Finance, Billing Operations, and Enterprise Applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze revenue transactions to ensure data accuracy and proper accounting treatment within the ERP system (Net Suite) and the revenue system (Zoura Revenue /Rev Pro).

  • Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses in compliance with Company policies and US GAAP (ASC 606).

  • Collaborate closely with GL Accounting, Billing Operations, and FP&A teams to support all month-end close activities.

  • Drive cross-functional projects and process improvements impacting revenue accounting and reporting.

  • Support the design, implementation, and execution of key revenue controls and system enhancements within Net Suite and Zoura.

  • Draft and maintain whitepapers and documentation related to revenue policies, controls, and accounting positions.

  • Participate in system migration, automation, and integration initiatives in partnership with the business systems team.

  • Identify and execute opportunities for continuous process improvement to enhance accuracy and efficiency across revenue workflows.

Do You Have the Right Ingredients? (Requirements)

Must-Haves:

  • 4+ years of experience in revenue recognition or revenue accounting, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application.

  • Proven ability to perform complex revenue accounting tasks and apply accounting guidance appropriately.

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.

  • Hands-on experience with Zoura Revenue,Net Suite, and Salesforce.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to work in UK and US time zones to support global accounting operations and monthly close cycles.

Special Sauce (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with SQL/Sequel.

  • Professional certification such as CPA(Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).

  • Experience in system implementation, process automation, or ERP migration projects.
