Will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales and use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax compliance, audits, and research. The role requires strong technical expertise in U.S. indirect taxation along with hands-on experience in tax accounting and ERP systems.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Gurugram for our hybrid working model.

Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities / Skills Required

• Compliance: Reviewing sales transactions and preparing inputs for the tax return preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use tax returns, property tax, business tax and licenses

• Tax Accounting Month close: Preparation of accrual workpaper and journal entry posting of accruals and payments followed by Tax GL reconciliations

• Audits: Handle state tax audits with collection and analysis of data

• Sales Tax customer queries: Knowledge of sales tax query handling

• Process Improvement: Assisting in Tax projects to optimize processes for increased efficiency

• Other International: Experience in Canada GST compliance, Mexico VAT & Brazil Indirect Tax will be an added advantage

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

• Experience: 5-8+ years of indirect tax experience, with a focus on US sales and use tax and property tax

• Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (Net Suite) and tax software Avalara

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills
