We are looking for a Senior Designer with solid expertise in Interaction Design, Service Mapping, Product Metrics, and Accessibility, who is proficient in English and Spanish to lead and scale Agile projects in this new era of innovation.

Job responsibilities

  • You will play an active role in the delivery and design of technology projects that transform how our clients work while developing new digital products and services.

  • Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create a wide range of experience design deliverables including journey maps, service blueprints, roadmaps, prototypes and design systems.

  • You will facilitate workshops, develop unique design strategies for products and take part in making strategic decisions at the portfolio level.

  • Behind the scenes, you will apply various research methods such as context analysis, moderated interviews, experiments and user tests.

  • Set up inspiring design hypotheses for delivery teams that consist of both Thoughtworkers and our customers.

  • Ensure that project scope, risks and updates are regularly assessed and communicated.

  • Balance client and Thoughtworker expectations by clearly communicating experience design deliverables.

  • Extend your expertise to teammates by supporting less-experienced designers when possible.

  • Advocate experience design expertise to the broader community outside of Thoughtworks, speaking at conferences, webinars, meetups and more.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • You're experienced in Service Mapping, utilizing Journey Maps to identify user pain points and Service Blueprints to map the complex processes behind the interface.

  • You're deeply experienced in Interaction Design, crafting seamless and intuitive digital journeys.

  • You're data-driven, utilizing Product Metrics and Experimentation to continuously validate and improve product performance.

  • You're committed to high standards of Accessibility and Usability, ensuring inclusive experiences for all users.

  • You're a skilled facilitator with solid Agile experience, leading teams through collaborative workshops and iterative cycles.

  • You're well-versed in experience design with specialities in areas such as service design, digital product design, or visual design.

  • You're comfortable leading and advising research activities, employing methods like contextual inquiry and moderated interviews.

  • You're an expert in Product Validation, using experiments and user testing to mitigate risks and ensure product-market fit.

  • You're an experienced storyteller, able to clearly present your research methods and findings to your stakeholders.

Professional Skills

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to lead international workshops and articulate complex design strategies in global environments.

  • A knack for communicating and defining project roles, empowering your teammates and building a culture of confidence within the design craft.

  • A consultant’s mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions, propose strategic alternatives, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.

  • Articulating the "Why" behind design decisions, providing clear, evidence-based rationales for every choice to ensure stakeholder alignment and buy-in.

  • Strategic mastery of Enterprise and SaaS, navigating the unique complexities of high-scale, business-critical digital products.

  • Exceptional workshop facilitation, using group dynamics to extract insights from stakeholders and drive collective consensus on complex topics.

  • Strong experience in Agile methodologies, seamlessly collaborating with developers and product managers to ensure a smooth transition from design to delivery.

  • A passion for mentoring and contributing to the design community through peer reviews and the refinement of internal design standards.

  • Expertise in managing stakeholders, acting as a liaison to build trust and maintain project momentum across different organizational levels.

  • A compelling portfolio that demonstrates a unique approach to problem-solving and the ability to deliver sophisticated digital product experiences.
