As a senior Systems Support Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency, stability and availability of complex application systems. You will contribute significantly to operational success, refine your expertise in incident management and DevOps and leave a lasting impact on the delivery of inventive solutions to our clients.
Job responsibilities
-
You will use your skills in incident management processes and tools, application monitoring metrics and tooling to generate reports and take corrective actions.

You will understand complex application systems and find your way through them to debug a business impacting issue.
-
You will follow standards and best practices to bring operational efficiencies, stability and availability of the system.
-
You will use continuous delivery practices to evolve, support and deliver high-quality software, as well as value to end customers, as early as possible while working in a collaborative, value-driven teams to build innovative customer experiences for our clients.

You will leverage your knowledge regarding the different logging techniques (various levels) and use them for alerting, monitoring and identifying the root cause of incidents.

You will efficiently use DevOps tools and practices to deploy and run software.

You will act as a mentor for less experienced peers through both your technical knowledge and leadership skills.

You will apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to solve client problems.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
-
Modern Application Development: You have solid experience working with C# / .NET Framework (3.5/4.0/4.5+/10) and .NET 5 & 6 for API and integration layers.
-
Database Management: You have experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL Server. You are open to learning niche platforms like Jade.
-
Cloud Platforms: You have an understanding of AWS services (including EC2, Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and S3) as multiple core systems are hosted on AWS.
-
CI/CD & Scripting: You are proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or VBScript to automate currently manual deployment and build processes. You have experience with Team City pipelines.

Debugging & Architecture: You must possess strong debugging and triaging skills to troubleshoot code in both monolithic and N-tier desktop/service architectures.

Observability Tools: You have familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog/ SumoLogic or AWS CloudWatch (at least one of them) to manage logs and alerts.

*Nice to have: *Legacy Stack Expertise: You have strong experience or a willingness to work deeply with legacy languages.

*Nice to have: *You have proficiency or familiarity with Delphi (2007/5) and Visual Fox Pro 9.0, which power several core enterprise platforms. You have experience with Ruby (1.9.3), or you are willing to learn it, to support backend services.
