You will be part of our Drug Product Division (DPD), which supports customers in the formulation, production, and packaging of high-quality drug products. Our dedicated colleagues offer a wide range of services, including formulation development, process optimization, scale-up, fill-finish services, packaging, and labeling. Their efforts ensure the efficient production of various drug products, such as sterile injectables and oral dosage forms.

This position is based at our Swindon site, which is part of Patheon UK Limited, a Thermo Fisher Scientific company. While specific details about the Swindon site are not available, you'll be contributing to our global efforts in pharmaceutical services and drug product manufacturing.

Position Summary:

As a Laundry Operator, you will complete the inspection, processing, and maintenance of garments. You will ensure timely delivery of garments, maintain inventory, and adhere to safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and replenish garments and GMP PPE consumables.

  • Process training garments, QC sampling garments, and lab coats.

  • Control hand gels and IPA wipes in all changing areas.

  • Dispose of old uniforms according to site waste procedures.

  • Service machines regularly to prevent breakdowns and improve efficiency.

  • Understand and adhere to the Laundry SOP 000049256.

  • Complete timely training, including chemical handling.

  • Assist with materials handling procedures to transfer materials into the classified area.

  • Ensure stocks required for the production area are maintained and within expiry date.

  • Perform duties associated with line end run off, packaging, labelling, and in-process weight checks.

  • Conduct environmental monitoring in Grade C/D classified areas following procedures.

  • Complete all documentation in adherence with Data Integrity principles and training.

EH&S Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow emergency procedures.
  • Align with EH&S policies, rules, and instructions.
  • Report and investigate all accidents, near misses, and rule breaches.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Math's GCSE and English (Grade C or Above) or evidence of basic Numeracy to understand arithmetic and being able to read and follow work instructions.

  • Experience of working in a regulated industry e.g. Pharmaceuticals, Food, Automotive, Make-Up & Engineering.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Good understanding of GMP requirements for Sterile Pharma Manufacturing.

  • Proficient in electronic document management tools.

  • Focused and able to concentrate on repetitive tasks.
  • Methodical approach.
