DESCRIPTION:

As an HR Generalist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this position, you will partner with managers and HR Centers of Excellence to implement talent initiatives and support a high-performing culture across the organization. You will provide comprehensive HR support spanning talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to positive change while developing your HR expertise with an industry leader.

Key focus areas include managing employee relations to enhance workforce performance, implementing talent management strategies, supporting organizational change initiatives, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees alike, providing guidance on HR policies, talent development, and engagement programs that align with our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced Degree with no prior experience required, OR Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
  • Professional HR certifications desirable (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively at all organizational levels
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, Success Factors, or similar platforms)
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-directed with focus on results
  • Fluency in English required
  • Experience in change management and organizational development
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
