Location/Division Specific Information

We are the Proteomic Sciences division (former Olink Proteomics). Our solutions are transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced protein biomarker discovery. With our innovative Olink solutions – including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5,000 proteins – our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.

Job Specific Information

As part of our commitment to Operational Excellence, we are looking for a curious and driven Development Engineer to join our new Sustaining Engineering team. The team consists of several development engineers and complements our three other Engineering teams within Operations. You will independently conduct investigations and perform laboratory testing using HPLC, MS, MALS and spectrophotometric methods as well as our qPCR and NGS platforms. You will assess results from quality tests, validation activities, and other process- and product-maintenance tasks, playing an important role in supporting decision-making related to product performance and quality within our manufacturing and control processes. The Engineering department is also responsible for Design Transfer of products in development at R&D to Operations, process development and validation of kit manufacturing processes, global equipment management, and business continuity for operational processes in Uppsala. The position is based at our headquarters in Uppsala and reports to the Manager of Sustaining Engineering.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory analyses according to established methods and procedures and analyze the resulting data
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Create and execute test plans to investigate product parameters from manufactured components or raw materials
  • Document and report test results in accordance with internal quality standards
  • Drive non-conformity and batch investigations as well as reviewing and assessing test results
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications

  • MSc in Analytical Chemistry or related field
  • Experience from product maintenance, QC, or laboratory work within the Life Science sector
  • Broad understanding and experience with laboratory techniques and methods such as HPLC, MS, MALS, spectrophotometry, etc.
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies is an advantage
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Swedish
