What You Will Do

​As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will be working on PCBA and wire harness design for surgical robotics. You will work with your mentor to follow the design process as you work through requirements, schematics, layout, build, test, and peer reviews. Additionally, there will be opportunity to gain some experience working on a project in Systems Engineering. We are seeking a passionate and talented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our New Product Development team. This is a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking robotics projects and contribute to the development of next-generation medical devices. As an intern, you will be immersed in a stimulating environment where you will gain hands-on experience and make a tangible impact. Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test electrical systems for new medical devices. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production. Robotics Integration: Assist in the development and integration of robotic components and systems, enhancing the functionality and precision of our medical devices. Research & Innovation: Conduct research and feasibility studies to explore innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. Your insights will drive the advancement of our technology. Prototyping & Testing: Participate in the prototyping and testing of electrical circuits and systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to refine designs and ensure reliability. Documentation: Support the documentation of design processes, test results, and technical specifications. Clear and thorough documentation is crucial for regulatory compliance and future reference. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring the smooth progression of projects.

What You Need​​

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.​
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.​
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
