Who we are looking for:
State Street Investment Management (“State Street IM”) is seeking an energetic and forward‑thinking Head of APAC & MEA ETF Capital Markets team. Sitting within the Global Capital Markets & Markets Intelligence organization—which supports more than $2T in ETF assets—you will play a pivotal role in accelerating regional growth and shaping the future of our ETF platform.
This role is central to expanding our footprint across APAC & MEA, deepening client engagement, and driving commercial outcomes. You will work closely with distribution, product, investment teams, and a wide range of external partners to strengthen market quality, expand our ecosystem, and unlock new trading and liquidity opportunities for clients.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of ETF Capital Markets & Markets Intelligence, you will lead strategic initiatives that elevate our presence, build competitive advantage, and help scale a high‑performing, globally connected franchise.
What you will be responsible for:

Lead and inspire the APAC & MEA ETF Capital Markets team, setting a clear commercial vision and driving execution.

Serve as a key subject matter expert, advising senior stakeholders and contributing to global strategic initiatives.

Accelerate business growth by identifying trading opportunities, cultivating liquidity partnerships, and strengthening primary and secondary market quality.

Deepen client engagement, delivering actionable trading insights and partnering with Client Coverage to drive adoption of our ETF range.

Champion market quality and innovation, using technology, data, and market intelligence to enhance resilience, scalability, and efficiency.

Building through collaboration: Have a passion and track record of building for success, navigating unknowns will high degree of partnership, and solutions orientated mind-set related to ETF trading and future aspects of potential growth related to ETF innovation.

Strengthen partnerships with authorised participants, liquidity providers, on-exchanges and off-exchange trading venues and regional market participants.

Support ETF launches and lifecycle management, collaborating across investment, product, and distribution teams to ensure flawless execution and ongoing support.

Act as the regional escalation point, ensuring timely resolution of trading, liquidity, and pricing issues.

Deliver market and flow analysis, translating trends into insights and commercial opportunities.

Education & Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

12+ years’ experience in financial services, with expertise in ETF trading, pricing, market making, liquidity, or risk.

Strong understanding of ETF mechanics, operations, clearing/settlement, and custody.

Experience working with regulators and contributing to ETF industry advocacy.

Demonstrated ability to operate across regions and seniority levels.

Positive attitude, strong ethics, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Prior experience across the ETF Eco-system would be advantageous

Preferred locations: Hong Kong or Singapore.
