Who we are looking for We’re building a new, subscription-based data product line within the bank—designed to help clients explore, query, and act on complex financial datasets with speed and confidence. This role is for a hands-on product design leader who thrives at the intersection of data visualization, AI-enabled experiences, and scalable design systems.
You’ll lead design for a zero-to-one product portfolio while remaining deeply embedded in the work: shaping interaction models, designing critical flows, and partnering closely with the Business, Engineering, and your Design Team colleagues. You’ll be designing alongside your team and setting a high bar through craft and execution.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where work occurs both in the office and from home.
What you will be responsible for
- Lead hands-on design for a new data subscription platform, from early concept through launch and iteration
- Design rich data visualizations that make complex financial and market data intuitive, trustworthy, and actionable
- Shape AI-enabled querying experiences, including natural language input, guided prompts, explainability, and feedback loops
- Define interaction patterns for custom, dynamic dashboards that adapt to user roles, preferences, and behaviors
- Partner closely with business to frame problems, define MVPs, and balance user value with business goals
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to ensure designs are technically feasible and data-accurate
- Mentor and guide designers, providing clear direction, critique, and support while staying actively involved in execution
- Advocate for user-centered design within a regulated, risk-aware banking environment
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- Deep understanding of interaction design for data exploration, not just static reporting
- Experience designing for enterprise, fintech, or regulated environments
- Comfort translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear product direction
- Ability to move fluidly between strategy and pixels—setting vision and designing key workflows
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners
- Familiarity with modern design tools and prototyping methods (e.g., Figma, prototyping libraries, experimentation)
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product design, with experience leading complex, data-rich products
- Degree in Design (Interaction, Graphic, Product), HCI, or related field a plus
- Experience working within a large, regulated enterprise
- Experience designing complex financial or data applications a big plus
Additional optional requirements
- Solid understanding of emerging LLM and GenAI prompting best practices and how they can accelerate and elevate design practices
- Motion design experience a plus
Please provide a link to your design portfolio (or attach a PDF) with any necessary passwords.
