Client Engagement

State Street is a global leader in custody, asset servicing, and fund administration for institutional investors and the clients they serve. As private assets continue to democratize, we are advancing a multi‑year investment in Private Markets aimed at delivering integrated, technology‑enabled solutions and expanding the ecosystem that supports private asset investing.

The Alternatives Product organization is seeking a qualified leader with strong product management experience in Private Markets to drive solution development for the wealth channel, distribution partners, and next‑generation technology enablement. With rapid change in the Private Markets landscape, client needs and expectations are evolving—creating significant opportunities to shape differentiated, scalable solutions that enhance our offering and accelerate business growth.

This role sits within Product Management and plays a critical role in solution design, execution, and cross‑functional alignment. The position will report to the Senior Vice President of Investor Services & Wealth and collaborate closely with product development, technology, operations, and external ecosystem partners to deliver comprehensive capabilities across closed‑end and international alternative funds. The product suite spans investor services, transfer agency, distribution connectivity, and digital experiences for GPs and end‑investors.

The successful candidate will own the solution roadmap for the wealth channel and distributor connectivity, driving development initiatives from concept through delivery in partnership with Product Development and Technology. This is a highly collaborative role that engages State Street teams, clients, and third‑party partners to design, prioritize, and execute solutions aligned with strategic goals—expanding market share, closing product gaps, increasing operating leverage, and elevating the client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution definition and development for the Private Markets wealth channel, including competitive analysis, pricing, go‑to‑market strategy, and full ownership of the product development roadmap for wealth and distributor connectivity initiatives.
  • Establish and evolve a distributor and platform connectivity program, serving as the central product owner partnering with Product Development and Technology to translate market needs into scalable technical and operational solutions.
  • Design and deliver connectivity strategies with wealth platforms, ensuring seamless integration of private investments into models, advisory workflows, and wealth management software ecosystems.
  • Align solution strategy with Charles River Wealth, working in joint partnership to build an integrated servicing and technology model for the wealth channel.
  • Co‑lead development of DLT, API, and AI‑enabled capabilities—working directly with engineering and architecture teams to reduce friction, modernize infrastructure, and deliver differentiated client and operational outcomes.
  • Partner across the broader Product team, Global Delivery, Technology and external providers to define requirements, prioritize features, and drive execution of new capabilities that support Private Market fund servicing and distribution connectivity.
  • Incorporate client and partner feedback into the product development lifecycle, ensuring that solution design remains aligned to market needs and competitive differentiation.
  • Maintain and communicate the solution and product roadmap, including status updates to senior leadership, cross‑functional stakeholders, and external partners.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial services and Private Markets, with the ability to assess market gaps and shape solution strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging clients and ecosystem partners to communicate capabilities, gather insights, and translate needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead product definition and partner closely with Product Development throughout the entire development lifecycle—from discovery and design through delivery and commercialization.
  • Excellent program and project management skills with the ability to navigate complex cross‑functional initiatives and contribute both strategically and hands‑on when needed.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance, prioritize, and execute multiple solution initiatives in parallel.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services, including Private Markets, fund operations, or distribution ecosystems.
  • Experience leading solution or product development programs in Private Markets, wealth management, or related operational environments.
  • Experience designing and delivering technology‑enabled solutions leveraging APIs, AI, or modern integration frameworks.
