Overview
This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead a diverse group of Manufacturing Logistics Managers
- Oversee and direct operations
- Motivating Manager to perform at a high level.
- Manage budgets, develop presentations, and make presentations
- Communicate across all levels of the workforce
- Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one Materials Management and Transportation job family and applies independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives.
- Activities include but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes.
- Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers, employee levels to carry out responsibilities.
- Develop and coach the team to improve inventory accuracy, material inventory, and delivery to internal customers
- Lead warehousing, service procurement, tool cribs, 3rd party processing, transportation and more.
- Drive site-wide safety excellence by leading safety training programs and reinforcing safe-work practices across all operations—ensuring consistent compliance, engagement, and continuous improvement at every level of the workforce.
Qualifications
Required skills/experience:
- 7+ years of experience in management
- Knowledge of managing 3PLs, shipping, warehousing, receiving, and internal logistic functions
- Project Management experience
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAP
Preferred Qualification:
- Masters Degree
- Large Team Management
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $105,950 - $162,450
Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit Aero Systems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years. Click here for more information on the tax credit.
