Overview
This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
A key member of a team responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company. Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered, to the right place, at the right time.
Performs part or all the following
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
- Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 0-2 years' related work experience required. Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study preferred.
- High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change
- Driven to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent Data analysis skills a plus
- Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus
- Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred
Union:
This is a union-represented position.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $45,700 - $70,100
Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit Aero Systems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years. Click here for more information on the tax credit.
