The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include consumers (Snapchatters, their families and their communities), advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate multidisciplinary team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.
We’re looking for a Communications Associate to join our team in Riyadh!
What you'll do:

Be responsible for executing our KSA market communications plan, working closely with the KSA Communications Specialist, as well as the MENA Communications team (Head of MENA Communications and Communications Manager, UAE)

Surface relevant news, ideas and opportunities for the Communications team in KSA
-
Work closely with the Communications team to support them on:
Proactive reputation and thought leadership campaigns: including developing campaigns, partnerships and thought leadership that highlights our investment and contribution in KSA.

Advertiser communications: educating brands, advertisers and creative agencies about our products, strategy and creative campaigns, driving share of voice in key trade and vertical sector press (including retail, sport, luxury and FMCG).

Product communications: including securing press coverage for product updates, launches and a program of proactive engagement, briefings and editorial boards for tech, business, consumer press and influencers.

Proactive consumer campaigns and press office: identifying relevant cultural hooks, media opportunities, moments and campaign platforms to show how Snapchat is part of the fabric of daily life for our community.

Creator storytelling: Tell the story of our growing and diverse community of Snap Stars (Snapchat creators) in the region, how they use the platform, make a living and why Snapchat is the most authentic place for creators and public figures to engage and build community.

Managing our consumer influencer strategy: developing new ways to tell our story through curated campaigns and partnerships with relevant creators and influencers.

Write to a high standard to feed into media materials and spokespeople briefing documents

Proactively and reactively pitch stories to press and deliver good results that leverage your existing relationships and knowledge of local media.

Collaborate with our agency partner to deliver a drumbeat of moments and coverage aligned to our business goals.

Be part of the cross-functional team in KSA working with teams including Marketing, Talent & Partnerships, Creative Strategy, Business Insights and Sales - to feed into plans that support clear business objectives and needs.

Project manage key communications projects in the region, delivering on time and holding yourself accountable for high standards

Regularly communicate with press and influencers, understanding that success means more than just good press coverage, but great relationship building too
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-
Understanding of the media and social landscape in KSA - including national, advertising, consumer and technology media, cultural influencers and creators

Experience of working on relevant communications programmes either in-house or in an agency in KSA

Experience working with creators to deliver creative content and campaigns
-
Strong news judgement

Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail.

Ability to prioritise effectively to deliver against business priorities, staging activities with relevant milestones and schedules
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make decisions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines

Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally and balance the interests of multiple stakeholders

Enthusiasm and energy for being part of a wider global Communications function, building relationships around the world and supporting colleagues
Minimum qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
