PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Digital Supply Chain Practice of SAP Australia & New Zealand is expanding by establishing a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Centre of Excellence (CoE), where we’re extending our high-performance team’s capability and capacity. The CoE’s purpose is to guide major customers through their journey to SAP Business Suite — with proven strategy, expert delivery, and scalable, lasting impact.
The successful candidate will be working on both this high-profile, strategic and transformational initiative and the broader Customer Success and Delivery area within the DSC Practice.
We are looking for a senior consultant with practical SAP Commodity Management (CM) and/or SAP Traders and Schedulers’ Workbench (TSW) skills, in-depth end-to-end process knowledge with focussed, oil & gas and/or other commodity industries experiences.
Please note, Brisbane location is preferred, we can also consider Melbourne and Sydney applicants. Candidates must have a valid work permit to be employed in Australia.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As an SCM – CM, TSW senior consultant, you will have an excellent understanding of SAP CM and/or TSW and the relevant SAP Business Suite related modules like SD, P2P, TM, Logistics etc. and how they get integrated and should be used in the oil & gas or commodity industry context.
From an SCM CoE perspective you will be helping the customer to holistically understand their path from the “old” SCM world into the more advanced Business Suite world including AI, automated scheduling and networks. You will work alongside the account teams in the software evaluation process, to develop SAP-centric solution scenarios and needed architecture, prepare implementation plans and define outcomes that lead to overall customer success. You will build actionable roadmaps, support the creation of business cases, PoC, give architecture advise and deliver implementation support where needed. You will act as the conduit between customer and product management / engineering to prioritise product roadmaps with customer needs, run/support industry specific round tables and events for SCM and particularly in Commodity Management and/or Traders and Schedulers Workbench.
Under the overall DSC Practice mandate, you will be involved in engagements to advise on, design, implement, deploy our solutions with the aim to enhance the client's business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. You will partner with the client and possible with 3rd parties to analyse and define business requirements, technology, processes, and objectives to scope project deliverables for the same but having the overall architecture in mind.
In addition, you will need to be able to work individually and as part of a high-performance team locally and globally, having SAP’s and customer’s success at heart. Your vast experience and your in-depth knowledge within the industry will make you the go-to person to provide though leadership advice to our colleagues/partners on end-to-end solution design, implementation challenges or deployment options.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

A proven 7+ years professional experience working as a senior SAP CM and or TSW consultant.

Has gained expert knowledge in SAP CM and/or TSW and ideally covering at least 4+ full implementation life cycles.
Shows a proven project deliver experience with product and domain knowledge in:

SAP Commodity Procurement

SAP Commodity Sales including CPE

Integrates commodity pricing with Order-to-Cash (Sales & Distribution) and Procure-to-Pay (Materials Management / Purchasing) processes.

Nice to have: SAP Broker Reconciliation for Commodity Derivatives

Bulk Scheduling & Nominations

Stock Projection and manage Inventory levels

Integration with Commodity Management

Master Data such as vehicle types and compartment assignments

Integrated Logistics with SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and TM.

Can conduct SAP CM and/or TSW centric workshops with all contributing parties, providing end-to-end Business Process Solution Design.

Has a good understanding and hands-on integration experience across other processes and solutions such as SD, MM, TM and FI/CO.

Understands the business drivers, challenges and outcomes of asset management and plant maintenance solutions in the correlated aspects of the oil & gas and commodity industries.

Strong analytical skills, result-oriented and effectiveness in problem solving.

Ease in presenting complex information to customers in a clear, well documented and trustworthy manner.

Team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments.

Strong networking and customer relationship management capabilities.

Excellent communication skills with technical and business focus.

Passionate about technology, innovation, and how digital platforms can solve business challenges.

Experience with ML, IoT, SAP Joule and other AI tools is a plus.

Basic knowledge of programming is a plus.

Practical experience with process modelling tools Signavio, LeanIX, Walk Me is a plus.
