Our dedicated Compliance team is looking for a new Legal Counsel specialized in Privacy & Digital law, who will combine deep knowledge of privacy and other digital regulations with a practical, forward-thinking approach, ensuring that every decision and project supports both compliance and innovation. Working across teams, you identify risks, guide best practices, and embed data protection into the heart of our operations from day one. You’re not just a guardian of policies—you’re a trusted partner who empowers colleagues to make smart, responsible choices. Your expertise builds trust with our customers, strengthens our reputation, and turns data protection into a true business advantage.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Enhance the regional compliance program in the following areas: privacy, AI and security operations and documentation; digital regulation governance; employee training on compliance topics. privacy compliance program monitoring and auditing; privacy impact assessments. records of processing.
• Supporting privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default practices across product development and business operations, with a focus on sales and marketing.
• Work in close collaboration with our regional Head Office on cross-border initiatives with a privacy angle.
• Support Samsung Benelux in its role as Samsung’s authorized representative in European digital regulations.
• Drafting, negotiating, and maintaining data processing and sharing agreements with partners, and vendors.
• Manage Samsung Benelux’ processes to respond to privacy and security related customer and regulatory inquiries, investigations and data incidents.
• Monitor evolving regulations, case law, and best practices, and communicate relevant insights internally to ensure ongoing compliance and strategic alignment.
• Support in compliance matters, including creation and delivery of training on key legal and compliance issues that impact the business.

We also request:

• Master degree in Law
• 7-10 years of practical experience in data protection law, complemented with other digital regulations.
• Interests in contract, competition and business law are considered valuable.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, and you are able to review and draft documents in both languages. Proficiency in French is also considered valuable.

• Monthly salary based on a 40-hour week between €6,500 and €8,600 gross (depending on knowledge and experience).
