Role and Responsibilities:
The Sr. Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the CI regional distributor selling relationship, and maximizing revenue attainment of Samsung TV and AV products with assigned CI distributors. This role will report to the Executive Director of Sales, with a supervisory role played by the existing Sr. Sales Manager of regional distribution. Together, this team is charged with driving sales initiatives of both consumer CE and commercial display product lines to the CI regional distributors. As the channel lead, the Sr. Sales Manager will oversee all CI regional distributor partners assigned, synthesize data and reporting, and be accountable to management. Key to the success in this role includes business planning, expand sell-in/sell-through activities, develop sales growth strategies, execute sales promotional planning, demand plan by maintaining accurate distributor forecasts, and frequent business updating and reporting. Role also involves sales and marketing program development, execution and audit. The Sr. Sales Manager will be the established account lead in working with purchasing and inventory management teams, and provide strategic inventory analysis, and business plan performance and reporting of assigned distributor partner base.
Background/Experience:
The candidate should possess relevant experience in consumer and /or commercial AV products, AV dealer and distribution channels, and understanding of strategic sales collaboration with distribution organizations. Ideal candidates will have experience with an established CE/IT brand, and understanding of AV Custom Install sales channels and two-step go-to-market strategies. The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and client management skills, and be proficient in business management systems, along with MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This position may require working additional hours beyond normal schedule including 30%+ travel for customer and industry trade events.
Necessary Skills:
The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize business plans and programs, and achieve sales performance objectives within established time frames and requirements. Must be capable of forecast management, PSI maintenance and sell-through analytics. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including business and technical matters as needed, along with developing business relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for assigned portfolio of CI regional distributors include maintaining the integrity of the consumer and commercial division strategies, implementation and execution of sales and marketing programs, and attaining the sales goals for the assigned segment. Position is responsible for engaging with all levels of the organization, both internal and external, and within CI channel.
- Sale of HE and CD products to assigned regional distributors
- Monthly/annual sales plan achievement
- Overall segment strategy implementation; execution of Samsung brand, support of all sales and marketing objectives
- Daily customer contact; maintaining current and developing new opportunities
- Management of sell-in and sell-through sales activities
- Continuous business planning and forecasting for assigned distributors
- Administration of sales orders, program execution and validation, and channel communication
- Synthesize reporting for management review
- Collaborate with sales managers, product marketing and supply chain teams
- Customer problem resolution
- Monthly and rolling detailed segment analytics; TAM, sales results, MRIO
- Support (and attend) distributor and industry events, annual travel estimate 30% of time
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- College Experience/Degree preferred
- 5+ years CE or Distribution account management experience
- Experience with CE Distribution accounts
- Strong sales driver, with experience creating ROI driven proposals independently to drive growth
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization both internally and externally
- Experience with large partners/portfolio in excess of $100M
- Outstanding presentation and sales skills
- Strong data analytics, organizational skills, decision making abilities and timely follow-up
FULLY REMOTE – CAN BE PERFORMED ANYWHERE
The salary range for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. However, the salary ranges in the following regions are expected to be as follows:
- Colorado: $138,000 to $170,000
- NYC: $157,500 to $195,000
- Washington State: $151,000 to $186,500
- California: $157,500 to $195,000
- New Jersey: $157,500 to $195,000
- Washington DC: $151,000 to $186,500
