Position Summary

The Director, Culture & Inclusive Science leads Regeneron's efforts to embed inclusion into the company's scientific enterprise. This role serves as the connective tissue between Regeneron's culture strategy and its scientific mission, ensuring that the company's commitment to advancing medicine for all is reflected in how science is conducted, who participates in it, and how diverse perspectives strengthen research outcomes.

This is a strategic role that requires credibility with scientific leaders, comfort navigating academic and community partnerships, and the ability to translate complex inclusion concepts into language that resonates with researchers, physicians, and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Regeneron's Better Science framework, including the Better Science Consortium (2,000+ participants across forums, panels, and seminars)
  • Develop and execute programming that connects Regeneron’s R&D work to health equity and our broader culture and values narrative
  • Manage external science inclusion partnerships, including the National Medical Association (NMA) and BSCP collaborations
  • Represent Regeneron's inclusive science commitments in external forums, conferences, and community engagements
  • Support community trust-building initiatives that lay the foundation for long-term engagement with patient populations
  • Ensure inclusive science work is connected to the enterprise Values to Action framework and Culture initiatives
  • Partner with broader Culture & Inclusion team to align ERG engagement with science priorities
  • Contribute scientific perspective to enterprise culture programming such as TEDx Regeneron, Inclusion Summit, and Regen ConneX
  • Manage the Manager, Culture & Inclusion
  • Collaborate across the Culture & Inclusion team to ensure programming is integrated, not siloed

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required. Science background eg. PharmD, MD or similar highly preferred
  • 14+ years of experience in health equity, science inclusion, diversity in research, or related fields within life sciences, healthcare, or academic research settings
  • Understanding of clinical research, genomics, or scientific research environments as well as aptitude and awareness of AI/ML ; ability to engage credibly with Ph.D. and M.D. stakeholders
  • Experience managing external partnerships with scientific or medical associations
  • Demonstrated ability to help develop and facilitate programming that influences organizational culture and behavior
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between scientific and organizational audiences
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or academic medical settings strongly preferred
