The business dynamics in TW Region are evolving very fast and becoming more and more complicated under the very competitive business environment and the disruptions from digital trends and omni-channel client journey.

Changing world inside and outside of Chanel, in a constantly and rapidly changing legal and business environment, there are more and more initiatives by different divisions / departments that require legal contribution. 

In this context, it is time to create a dedicated legal role in TW Region with local legal knowledge to support the market MD to advise on all legal related matters in TW Region.

Job Mission:

Primary legal adviser to Country Management and Business Divisions on all legal related matters in TW Region. Provide strategic and holistic advice starting from pre-decision input to final execution. Compliance with local laws and and managing risks is a key priority for the entire organization. Leadership role, member of TW Leadership team.

Operational Challenges & Adding Value

• Complex, unique and ever-expanding legal environment embedded with incremental compliance risks.

- Substantial advice on data privacy laws required due to digital transformation comprising cutting-edge corporate initiatives.

- Management of distribution, with significant boutique and counter renovation and expansion plans, and from traditional retail to omni-channel requiring collaborative business partnering.

- Constantly evolving legal landscape involving active monitoring of regulatory development, connection with local legal community and agile interpretation of the laws.

- Dynamic enforcement environment transformed the ways we protect our brand and inculcate brand values and meeting Chanel’s mission statement.

- Increasing involvement with Court and authorities requiring interactions and appearance in Court.

• Need for legal awareness of TW Region to ensure legal compliance.

• Serve as legal expert to internal and external clients; addressing legal issues relating to new and emerging cutting edge corporate initiatives, protecting our brand and inculcate brand values and developing a legal and compliance culture within the company.
