  • Redis is looking for a Devops Team Lead to join our R&D department in Tel-Aviv.

As a Team Lead for Redis R&D, you will be a hands-on technical leader designing and building infrastructure systems while guiding and mentoring a team of Infra DevOps Engineers. You’ll lead by example, driving best practices through your own engineering work and empowering the team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

You will be part of our cloud group, creating and supporting the entire development and deployment process of the fastest NoSQL clusters on earth, running many hundreds of clusters on top of all major public and private cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Building & Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of infra DevOps developers focused on a large-scale, distributed cloud system.

  • Technical Leadership & Hands-on Contribution: Actively participate in development, including coding, code reviews, and architectural decision-making, setting a high technical standard for the team.

  • Feature Design & Prioritization: Lead the design and prioritization of new features and enhancements, emphasizing clean and highly efficient code.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, DevOps, Architects, and other R&D teams to ensure alignment and delivery.

  • Strategic Direction: Drive the technology roadmap and project timeline.

  • Tooling & Automation: Partner with the Redis R&D and Cloud Operations teams to design, build, and maintain essential tools that streamline their operations.

What will you need to have?

  • 3 + years of management experience leading technical teams

  • 7 + years of coding experience in high level languages

  • Infrastructure Software Development: Design and implement scalable infrastructure services.

  • Experience with Kubernetes, micro services and ecosystem (Helm, kustomize, Istio, CSI, GKE, EKS…)

  • Experience using CI/CD (Jenkins, Flux, ArgoCD)

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cross Plane) and configuration management

  • Self-direction, ambition and an eagerness to learn new things

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

Extra great if you have:

  • Experience with configuration as code (Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet….).

  • Experience with Agile methodology.

  • Experience with cloud based solutions at the architectural understanding level.

  • Have participated in an end-to-end big data and/or large scale performance challenge.
