Job Summary:

The IT Manager contributes to information technology strategies by managing staff and directing the implementation of technological solutions across diverse teams. They recommend and implement information technology strategies, policies, and procedures within functional unit; participate in implementation across functional units. A key focus of this position is managing and developing staff and unit budget to achieve strategic department and team goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities

This position manages work across multiple information systems and projects.

  • Recruits, selects, coaches, and develops team leadership, engineering, and support staff within the IT department. Manages professional growth and development plans.
  • Works with senior leadership to develop team goals in line with department objectives.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with IT leadership.
  • Conducts performance and development reviews per HR guidelines. Takes corrective actions, including Performance Improvement Plans and terminations, when necessary.
  • May lead problem management teams comprised of senior engineering resources in solving high-complexity, high-impact enterprise issues.
  • Manages vendor relationships with hardware and software solutions and tools.
  • Translates and champions IT strategy to functional unit.
  • Achieves financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action within functional unit.
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by supporting strategic plans for implementing and supporting information technologies.
  • Assists with defining enterprise IT policies and procedures to ensure the protection of information assets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Platform Ownership & Governance: Own the technical implementation, configuration, and data governance for Google Analytics (GA4),Adobe Analytics, and Quantum Metric, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Tagging & Tracking: Design, implement, and audit comprehensive tracking plans and tagging strategies (via Google Tag Manager or Adobe Launch) to capture all critical user interactions, conversion funnels, and business KPIs.
  • Experience Analytics: Leverage the session replay, heatmapping, and frustration metrics within Quantum Metric to identify customer pain points, conversion bottlenecks, and technical errors in real-time.
  • Data Integrity: Proactively monitor data streams for discrepancies, troubleshoot tracking issues with development teams, and enforce quality assurance (QA) processes to maintain the highest level of data quality.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Define, develop, and maintain automated, executive-level dashboards and recurring reports in tools like **Tableau, Power BI,**or Adobe Workspace that clearly communicate website performance and marketing ROI.
  • Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct rigorous analyses using advanced segmentation, funnel analysis, and attribution modeling to uncover root causes for trends in traffic, conversion rates, and revenue.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Partner with UX/Product teams to define hypotheses, measure the impact of A/B tests and site feature rollouts, and use data from all three platforms to create a continuous optimization roadmap
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the trusted data advisor to Product Managers, Marketing Leaders, and Engineering teams, aligning measurement strategy with business objectives and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Team Development: If managing a team, provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, prioritizing their workload and fostering a culture of curiosity and data literacy.
  • Data Storytelling: Translate highly complex technical and statistical findings into clear, concise, and compelling narratives and presentations for non-technical senior leadership.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one area.
  • Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Typically requires a university Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 4-6 years prior relevant experience.
  • Expert Proficiency in Web Analytics Platforms: Proven, hands-on experience with configuration, administration, and analysis in **Google Analytics (GA4)**and Adobe Analytics.
  • Digital Experience Platforms: Strong working knowledge of Quantum Metric (or similar platforms like Full Story, Hotjar) for behavioral analytics, session replay, and identifying customer struggle.
  • Data Manipulation: Proficiency in SQL for querying and joining data from various sources (e.g., data warehouse, CRM) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Tag Management: Expert experience with enterprise Tag Management Systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Tealium) for implementing and managing tracking code.

Required Skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office / MS Office 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, One Note, Share Point.
