Overview
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Vice President for Business Operations (Human Resources) will serve as the operational leader for the HR organization. This executive will drive strategic planning, organizational efficiency, and operational rigor across all HR functions, ensuring the People team operates with clarity, accountability, and measurable impact.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—translating business priorities into scalable systems, processes, and operating models that enable the company’s talent and culture to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Operational Excellence:
Lead the annual and quarterly planning cycles for the People organization, including KPIs, budgeting, headcount planning, and performance reviews.
Design and implement the operating rhythm for the HR function to drive accountability, transparency, and execution.
Develop comprehensive execution plans for enterprise-wide people initiatives and guide change management efforts.
Build scalable systems and tools that improve decision-making, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
Establish metrics and dashboards to measure organizational health, talent performance, and HR efficiency.
Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation:
Partner with the Chief People Officer to shape long-term People strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
Drive workforce planning and organizational design efforts across business units.
Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, including restructuring, integration, and enterprise transformation efforts.
Anticipate operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to support business continuity.
Executive & Cross-Functional Partnership:
Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Chief People Officer and senior HR leaders.
Act as connective tissue between HR, Finance, Legal, Technology, and other business functions to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
Facilitate executive team meetings, off-sites, and executive forums to drive clarity and forward momentum.
Support Board-level reporting and executive presentations related to talent, workforce strategy, and operational performance.
Communication & Alignment:
Partner with Internal Communications and executive teams to craft clear, cohesive messaging around people strategy and organizational changes.
Translate complex business and workforce strategies into actionable narratives for leaders and employees.
Develop executive-ready materials, including board memos, strategic decks, and enterprise updates.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, or HR executive team roles within media, entertainment, technology, or similarly complex organizations.
Additional Qualifications
Proven experience building and scaling operational infrastructure in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
Deep expertise in organizational planning, change management, and performance operations.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic insight.
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presence.
Ability to build structure in ambiguous environments while maintaining agility.
High integrity and demonstrated ability to lead through change.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Hiring Salary Range: $225,000.00 - 270,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
